SPEAKERS

REV PETER CHAPMAN
Peter is a Uniting Church Minister currently in Gerringong, and married father of four, is also convenor of the NSW State Network of the Assembly of Confessing Congregations, an evangelically minded body operating within
the Uniting Church. Peter has hosted the regular weekly “Straight to the Heart” series on local radio Pulse 94.1fm. Peter is a former Chairperson of the Illawarra Presbytery, within the NSWACT Synod of UCA. Peter recently was a guest on the ABC Radio National “God Forbid” program in May 2017.

DR BEN MYERS
Dr Ben Myers
Ben Myers (BA (Hons), PhD) is currently Lecturer in Systematic Theology at the Uniting Theological College at North Parramatta in NSW. Previously Ben was a research fellow in intellectual history at the University of Queensland. His teaching and research focus on systematic theology, but he also has wide interests in literature, the history of political thought, and contemporary culture. He has been a fellow of the Center for Theological Inquiry in Princeton and a visiting scholar at Fuller Seminary. Ben is a member of the Uniting Church’s national Working Group on Doctrine, and he discusses theology, books, and culture on his blog, Faith and Theology.

BRUCE LYON
Bruce is a self employed software & network engineer and lives in Port Stephens, NSW. Bruce is a lay preacher at Booragul UC (an ACC member congregation) in the Hunter Presbytery. He recently served on the UCA NSWACT Synod Standing Committee, and currently serves on the UCA Hunter Presbytery, the Booragul Church Council and some local church committees. Bruce holds to a Calvinist, Evangelical and Reformed Christian standpoint. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and a Diploma in Theology from the Newcastle Anglicans. He is currently exploring a Period of Discernment for Ministry of Pastor locally within UCA.

REV ANNE HIBBARD
Anne was ordained as a Minister in the Uniting Church in Australia in 1996, spending time in ministry at Annandale and Liverpool Uniting Churches. She is the national coordinator and founder of Uniting Prayer and Fasting and also the prayer coordinator of the ACC. She has been on the ACC National Council for several years. She is married with two grown up children and lives on the Central Coast of NSW. She is currently a candidate for the Doctorate of Ministry.
